QUALITY BABY GOAT AND LAMB PRODUCTS
This is a high quality niche product, the meat from these young animals are one
of the safest, leanest and highly digestible. It is low in cholesterol. Animals are either
milk-fed for the first 4-6 weeks or milk-fed for 4 weeks and then given small amounts of forage
for 2-4 weeks prior to slaughter. Carcass weight ranges between 4-8 kg. Current supplies are
limited to a maximum of 75,000 carcasses. It is likely to grow to 100,000 in the next couple of
years.
